Does any of this sound familiar?

  • “I know I should be using AI. I just do not have time to learn it.”
  • “I typed something into ChatGPT, got back a caption that did not sound like me, and closed the tab.”
  • “I am mentally drafting content on the school run and answering emails at 9pm.”
  • “Everyone at that conference talked about AI like I should already know this.”
  • “I have got 40 tabs open, a to-do list I have not properly looked at in a week, and a newsletter that is late again.”
  • “I do not want to hand my business over to a robot. I just want the busy work off my plate.”
  • “My kids are heading into an AI world and I do not really understand it yet either.”

If you read three of those and thought “yep, that is me”, you are in the right place.

And tell me, which of these have you already had a crack at?

  • Watched a free AI webinar. Took notes. Never opened the notes.
  • Saved 47 reels about prompts. Used none of them.
  • Bought a prompt pack that sounded nothing like you.
  • Signed up to an AI newsletter you now delete on sight.
  • Decided you would “sit down properly one weekend”. That weekend has not happened yet.
  • Asked someone’s tech-y nephew, understood about a third of it.
  • Tried ChatGPT once, decided it was overhyped, moved on.

None of that was silly. Every one of those was a reasonable thing to try. They just all have the same thing missing.

Maria, founder of The AI Edit, standing in a doorway holding a laptop

Before working in AI, I was a freelance marketer and digital product manager. Every day was a pile of admin, other people’s deadlines, and the actual work squeezed in around the edges.

When I first started with AI I did exactly what you have probably done. Opened it up, typed a question, got something generic back, and thought “well, that is not going to help”.

It took me embarrassingly long to work out that I was using it wrong. Not because I am not technical. Because nobody had shown me the setup.

Obviously, working in AI, I am one of its biggest advocates. I am also someone who thinks pretty critically about these tools, and I will tell you exactly where they are rubbish as well as where they are brilliant.

What if you were never the problem, and it was only ever the setup?

Four reasons AI has felt like a let-down so far.

  1. 01

You have been prompting, not setting up.

A one-off question gives you a one-off answer. Nothing is being built.

  2. 02

    It does not know you.

Not your business, not your customers, not the way you talk. So of course it sounds like everyone else.

  3. 03

    You learnt it alone.

And there was nobody there at the exact moment it got wiggly.

  4. 04

    Nobody gave you the recipe.

So every new task starts from a blank box again.

Not a skills problem. Not a tech problem. Just a setup problem, and a setup is a two hour job.

Introducing Sip & Builds

Think Sip and Paint, except you go home with an AI that works for you.

Wine in one hand, laptop open, ten business owners around a table on a Wednesday night in Cambridge.

You leave with Claude or ChatGPT set up for your business, trained on your voice, and doing a real job. Not a demo of mine. Yours, on your laptop, ready for Thursday morning.

No jargon. No shiny nonsense. Just your business, running a bit smoother.

What you’ll achieve

  • Draft writing is already most of the way there, sounding like you, in your words.
  • The newsletter goes out before dinner instead of after it.
  • AI comes up at a networking thing and you have got something to say.
  • You know what you are happy to hand over, and what you are absolutely not. On purpose.
  • You are the one in your group chat who has actually sorted this out.
  • Sunday night stops being catch-up night. Eventually.

You leave with the thing. Not notes about the thing.

  • Claude or ChatGPT set up for your business, on your laptop, before you leave
  • A tone of voice document you can reuse in any AI tool, forever
  • Your first working skill, built by you, doing a real job on your business
  • The build recipe, so you can make the next one without me
  • A straight answer on which tool to reach for when
  • The ethics and security basics nobody covers at the fun events

Plenty of people leave an AI workshop impressed and never open the thing again. You will not, because you will have already used it. On your business. On the night.

Yes, that is what I need

Two and a half hours. You build the whole way through.

5.30pm

A drink and a proper hello

Glass in hand, we’ll cover fundamentals before anyone opens a laptop.

5.50pm

Set both tools up properly

Claude and ChatGPT, side by side. Projects, custom instructions, and the settings almost nobody touches.

6.25pm

Teach them your voice

Who you serve, how you sound, and the words you would never use (we all have them). You keep this as a document and reuse it anywhere.

7.05pm

Build your own skill or project

The main event. A reusable skill doing a real job on your actual business, not a demo. Nobody moves on until everyone’s is working.

7.40pm

The recipe, and home by eight

How to build the next one yourself. Where AI genuinely fits in your business, and where it does not. Plus the ethics and security basics every business owner should know.

Business owners doing their own marketing or admin. Which is most of us.

No tech background needed. No AI experience needed. Ten seats, so nobody gets quietly left behind at the back.

Count me in

Three nights that build on each other.

Each night stands on its own, but they stack. Start here with the foundations, and nights two and three are $157 instead of $197.

  • Night one · This one

    Wednesday 26 August

Set up Claude and ChatGPT properly

Projects, custom instructions, your tone of voice, and your first working skill. The foundations everything else sits on.

    $197 incl GST

  • Night two

    Wednesday 9 September

    Cowork and ChatGPT masterclass

Scheduled tasks, mini agents and artifacts. Where AI stops answering questions and starts doing jobs while you are not watching.

  • Night three

    Wednesday 23 September

    Your content marketing engine

The workflow that keeps you visible: ideas, drafts, repurposing, all running on the voice and skills you set up in nights one and two.

The things everyone asks.

I am not techy at all. Will I keep up?

Yes. This is built for you, not for developers. Small room, step by step, and I do not move on until everyone’s setup is working.

I have tried AI before and it was rubbish. Why is this different?

Because you were almost certainly prompting rather than setting up. One-off questions give you one-off answers. These evenings are about building something that works for you.

What do I need before the night?

A laptop, and a Claude account or a ChatGPT account. A paid account of either will give you more features and better outputs. I always recommend the paid plan, even the lowest tier. Your booking email walks you through it in about five minutes.

Is $197 just for the evening?

It is for everything you walk out with. Your tools set up, the tone of voice document you will reuse for years, your first working skill, and the build recipe. Wine and nibbles included, and the room is capped at 10 so you get actual help.

Is there a deal if I come to more than one?

Yes. Once you have done night one, nights two and three are $157 each instead of $197.

Can I bring a friend?

Please do. Book two seats in one go and come together.

What about food and drink?

Wine, non-alcoholic options and nibbles are all included.

What if I cannot make it anymore?

Your seat can go to a friend any time, just let me know the name change. [REFUND POLICY]

I am in. What happens now?

You book, you get an email within a few minutes with more details, and then you turn up with your laptop and an appetite. That is the whole job.

Ten seats · Wednesday 26 August

Pour a wine, bring a friend, go home with it working.

Ten seats, because everyone builds on the night and nobody gets left stuck at the back. That is the only reason it is capped, and it is why it will go.

You have been meaning to sort this out since about January. It is a Wednesday. It is two and a half hours. There is wine.

Alright, save me a seat

PS. This is the first of three. Night two is the Cowork and ChatGPT masterclass on 9 September, night three builds your content marketing engine on 23 September, and both are $157 once you have done this one. Otherwise $197 if you just join one of the other two.
